I feel the same way as Sarah about the past reading. What happened at the movies to Estha disgusted me. I was not expecting like this to happen, and now that it did I wonder how the story is going to go from here. Also, it was interesting how Roy kept descibing the body throughout the reading, like wet Estha undressing, Rahel, the women in the bathroom, and Ammu. I hope that the story continues moving forward and that we get to know Sophie Mol more.

The whole situation at the movie theatre was very dramatic to both Estha and the reader. I felt that it was Estha's turning point and that he changed into a scared and quiet boy b/c of this situation. It is scary to think about and scary to imagine.
I think that this significant part in the book was depicted so realisticly. The way Roy described this scene made my skin crawl. She really described this ordeal through the eyes of this innocent little boy, making it all the more horrific.
