This book is very central to love. There are mentions to loving more and loving less and loosing love and gaining love. People seem to be rated on how much they are loved, and the things that they do affect how much people love them. There may be a connection between the caste system and the way that people are rated with love.

that's a very interesting connection you have made. the amount of love you recieve is where you stand on the respectability chart. i think it's definately worthy to note how much the word "love" comes up. especially with the twins. they seem to rate success by how much they are loved.
I agree with Jake. This book is based on love. In fact the author Sophie as a symbol for love and she appears through out the whole book.
