In this blog a group reading THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS, by Arundhati Roy, will be discussing reading questions, theories and ideas raised by the text, and we will work to form analysis based on readings, posts and conversations in class and on this blog. Respect for each other and each other's intellect is of the utmost importance to us.

it is very possible that Roy's life inspired the book and i think that you are right it is an extremely strong insight into this family, we hear most of what goes on in peoples head and how they feel as well as everything that happens around the people of the family, including their past. i agree that it is very personal.
yes. exactly what i was thinking. some authors use characters in a story to narrate and illustrate their own life. i was just wondering what you all thought about that.
